I’m starting to struggle to sleep too, because I’m associating it with something bad. That is so nice to hear that it is one of the last ones. I’ve been working through the healing process and it just gets worse before it gets better. Thank you for sharing that with me it gives me so much hope.

Yes, first thing in the morning. I have to sit in the shower to calm myself down. I used to throw up, but now it’s just severe nausea. Food is disgusting to me too. I’m struggling to take care of my basic needs, but if this is the last step.. then thank God!

Talk to your doctor about it and see if you can get some anti-anxiety meds for night (assuming anxiety is causing the poor sleep). Be careful if s/he offers sleeping pills (ie. zopiclone) or as needed benzos (ie. Ativan) because they are highly addictive and people with ptsd have to be really careful with addiction. Personally, I'm on nightly mirtazapine which helps with anxiety and has a sedative effect. I don't know for sure what causes the dread feeling but I suspect it's dreams. So logic suggests if I get the dreams under control (even the ones I don't remember) then the dread feeling will subside too.
