Yes, I have. I've also gone into bipolar psychosis as a result of smoking. Yet I used to smoke everyday and it just helped me keep a healthy appetite and a good sleep schedule. Either my brain chemistry changed, or it's stronger than all h*ll these days.

@afunk omg, i totally feel the same way....the last few times I've tried to smoke, i have totally felt disassociation, and it freaked the heck out of me. I honestly believe something has changed in my brain...or like you said, they just keep making it stronger and stronger...i've even tried low thc strains, and for the most part, it sends me into a panic, and I can't wait for the high to be over.

Hmm, that's an interesting theory. While marijuana does not bind to GABA receptors directly, like alcohol and benzodiazepines do, I think there is definitely something it may be doing to perhaps interfere with the GABA system itself. I think that some of us are just born with a lower GABA receptor density and a higher Glutamate receptor density, so I think it's important to realize that our brains are just sensitive. This topic interests me because some people have suggested to me to try a CBD oil in order to get off of Ativan, but as someone who was too anxious to try any of it long before I was even prescribed ativan, I am not sure it's a good idea. Yes, antidepressants are such a hit and miss experience. I think they may be useful if an anti-depressant is the only thing a person is taking, but if there are other meds or things in the equation, it's an iffy proposition. A highly agitating antidepressant may easily lead to an ativan or a klonopin prescrption, which could make things 1,000 times worse.
