Has anybody tried acupuncture. I am planning on going for a session to relieve some back pain but I have heard it can also have emotional impacts. I knew somebody that had it once for an injury and they said they cried for hours and hours afterwards. Good crying, like they were letting go of a lot of pent up emotion and stress. I know it is used for other reasons, immune system boosts etc, although I do not buy into those uses there does not seem to be much science behind it. However I am very interested in the injury and the emotional aspect of it. Anybody had that experience and care to share how it made them feel?

@ShareBear12 Without needles, that sounds very interesting, what exactly do they do?

@AnaOliver I am limited with the options available in my area but I think I have found a highly qualified one so I am hoping she does a good job and it really helps me.

@Christian23 I don't remember exactly what they do, since I only got it done once, and it was a few years ago. But I think they do a massage-type thing, and press down on your pressure points, I can't remember exactly but I think they also applied a type of lotion on you too. Pressing down on your pressure points can relieve the tension kind of like needles would. Sorry this wasn't good advice, but you can google this too, I found a lot of articles about how they do it without needles.
