It's my 21st this Friday and to me it's just gonna be like a normal day. My parents don't even care for it. They think I should be a normal 21 year old and spend it with friends instead of them. Like what parents say that!? They have such a stereotypical view on 21 year olds clearly..

I feel pretty down when anyone puts such a big day down. In this birthday or the next day even better, go wine testing with a group of people locally but make sure it is safe and drink wisely to drive back home alone safely. Now a day people are taken advantaged of under this birthday. In my birthday, I did not tell anyone it was a birthday and dressed reasonably fine and went with the crowd. I try to keep things down because the world is not safe. Sometimes no attention is good living.

I'm sorry for what they said they should actually know how big turning 21 is and the meaning behind it. I'm not sure if this is the best advice, but I would say at least try to convince them or show them how much this means to you, even if you have to do research on the significance of turning 21 (it sounds dumb I know). Perhaps with enough motivation, they'll come to realize how much this really means to you, to spend it with them I know Friday is right here but it can't hurt to try right?

Happy birthday! I hope you get the (positive) attention you deserve on your special day!
