Just got of the hospital after getting an allergy shot. I had a systemic reaction to it. I started having shoulder pain 30min after the shot then a hour later had big rashes on my feet and face. They told me my face was swollen, but after predisone and pepcid via IV the swelling and rash is alot less. They gave me steriods for 4 days that should keep it down. Should be ok...have to see asthma /allergist doctor asap ):

Wow that sounds a little scary. Sorry you are going through this. Maybe the first shot alone would have worked if you are that sensative. Everyone's body is different, would be nice if they took more attention when they already know a person has sign of possible issue.

@bebobaBetty
Hi,
I took 40mg of predisone this morning that seems to have helped a bit. It felt like i was breaking out again this morning once the meds from the ER. It's like a burning sensation on my face. They started me on a very low concetration when i started the shots a few months ago and slowly work you up. I never had a reaction to this degree. Most of the time the arm where the shot was it would itch, redness, and sometimes swelling...but never spread to other parts. They told me a local reaction is normal, but if spreads then seek emergency care. I can breathe ok which is a big plus. I mainly feel extreme fatigue and flushed at the moment.
