Hey, So I haven't been here in a while. I have had ups and downs. Today I was thinking about how every time I think of a goal I want to reach, no matter how small, I think of something scary that may happen if I try to pursue that goal. For example, I need to reschedule some doctors appointments, some for the 3rd time. I feel scared to call because I'm afraid the receptionist will remember that I'm the nut that keeps making /canceling appointments and say something snarky to me. Another example, I have some new acquisitions I want to put away. Every time I think of where I should put things (that don't already have a place to be put) I tell myself that I will forget I put it there because it doesn't make sense to have it there. I want to go out for a walk. I think my joints will hurt and I will get out of breath. Those are small goal examples. The bigger the goal the more things that I think of that could go wrong. I do this kind of thing all the time to myself. It is paralyzing me. Does anyone else do this? Has anyone found a way to end this from happening? Eventually, I get things done, it's just that this process is quite emotionally painful.

I worry ALOT. My mind process is the same as yours but I force myself, knowing I will feel worse if I don't do it. Maybe thinking pros vs cons, feeling good vs sadness will help see you through tasks. Every time you complete something the reward is feeling good about yourself. Do you think this will help you?
