the sadness at night is heart breaking, the silence is deafening. Too awake to sleep and too tired to fix the problem

I try to read or listen to music at night. It takes hours for me to finally fall asleep, so that really sucks. Sometimes I just let myself cry it out. I don't even know why I'm sad, I just am. So tonight I let myself cry it out, and then I remembered that I made an account on here years ago. So I'm back. It's almost 3 am here and I have work later!
I only get anxiety about sleeping at night. I can sleep all day but at night i get flashbacks and bad dreams, so it's almost like I'm scared to go to sleep. I don't know how to fix it either, sorry :/

@Lily B I have so many books also, but I seem to get distracted so I just listen to music. I get sad for reasons idk either. It sucks. I actually made this page in the middle of the night, while I was looking for a therapist just to talk, is when I came across this & went through it & seen that there was a lot of people actually going through the same thing as me kind of, so it seem like I can just talk about my problems or whatever the case may be. & I'm glad I'm here. I see that I'm not really alone.

@EJdX3 no you are not really alone! I made this page years ago and have only used it maybe 3 times. I also came across it when I was really low. I was actually searching for 12 steps meetings near me and found this site. I'm going to come here more often :)
