Does anyone know any good products for the winter? I'm breaking out worse than usual this year. I heard that CERE VE was a good moisturizer. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for dry acne-prone skin. Also does drinking lemon tea help? or lots of water or is this a myth?

@summer4evr I suggest not doing a face wash in the morning, as cleansers can be overly drying and could be affecting your moisture barrier. Try doing a splash of water in the mornings.

Have a read of this article to find out more about moisture barriers: https://simpleskincarescience.com/dehydrated-skin-moisture-barrier-acne-fix/

You might not have a dehydrated skin type (oily+dry), so not all advice in the article might be applicable for you.

For the Himalaya cleanser, you could think of upgrading it to a more acne-fighting cleanser (such as antibacterial types, or with active ingredients). I personally use sebamed anti-bacterial foam cleanser, but just see what's available near you.

Your moisturizing products look good, though you might want to do an additional layer of moisture. i'm not sure how thick the Clinique surge is, but you should definitely add another layer if your skin feels dry by the end of the day. Try to get a product with ceramides or niacinamide for your day time. For your night time, you can consider occulsive-type moisturisers (like vaseline) that trap moisture.

hope this helps!

@summer4evr Also, before you go all out and buy buy buy the products, make sure you patch test each product for a few days before introducing it. Test each product for 1-2 weeks before adding a new one, so that you know which product is working :)
