Hello, I’m new here and not sure how to do this. But I am not feeling so great. I’m 24 and just separated from my wife of 8 years (altogether) and we have a daughter. She left for a life of partying, and now recently decided she wanted to be part of her daughters life again. I have been dealing with terrible acne, which I’ve never had before, and am now on accutane, which doesn’t help my emotional state. I’ve been together with her for a long time and have no idea how to even start my life. I was so used to putting time into my career(which was intense time-wise), work, house, child, and relationship and sacrificed “Me” time for a long time. Right now it feels like I don’t even know who or what I am. Idk how to find the will to get myself together and am starting to isolate myself because of the way I look and the way I feel. I’m just trying to find someone who can relate or atleast share some advice.

I'm so glad to know it made a difference! I also feel less alone having people going through the same thing propping me up, and helping others is a comfort too. I hope we can get you through bad days as many times as you need.

I agree. You do need to be selfish. I know from experience, being a parent... being selfish is SO HARD! Baby steps... If you have guilt having "you time" start out small. Give yourself 4 hours a week. Then continue to increase your me time. After a while the guilt goes away and you realize that you need alone time to better yourself FOR you and for that child. Good luck
