I am a 44 year old lifetime Michigander. Born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. I served seven years in the US Navy as a "Nuke" MM1(SS). I have been a EMT/Paramedic/Instructor for 16 years.
2009 was my banner year. I was fired (since renegotiated to a resignation) from my private ambulance service after 13 years of service at the end of October 2008. I was unemployed for a few months until January 2009. In March 2009, I was diagnosed with NSHL 2B (Hodgkin's Lymphoma). I underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy and declared in remission in October. I have since been back to work and getting back my life.
