Wow! Someone forgot to mention that life was hard. Really hard. I really try to stay positive, be productive, and laugh. Some times, though, it seems that the more coping skills I develop, the more tricks life comes up with to undermine my progress.
I had an accident a year ago. I had, up until that point, worked so hard to make a life I was proud of and enjoyed. In one second, it was all gone. I had no family to begin with - but I did have a network of friends. Slowly, they all faded away. Again, I tried my best to work with what I had and appreciate what I had to work with. Some days, reality just seems to creep in and I wish I still had my friends to help me laugh it off.
