I'm retired/disabled and seeking to connect with others for mutual support and encouragement. I have Major Depressive Disorder; PTSD from childhood physical and emotional abuse and adult emotional abuse; ADHD/ADD; Chronic Pain from neurological damage to the spinal cord and sciatic nerves due to a birth defect of L5, and from the childhood physical abuse, and other injuries; Fibromyalgia; Chronic Fatigue Syndrome; and a hyperactive immune-system disorder (Chronic Stevens-Johnson Syndrome).
I worked more than 30 years despite my chronic medical conditions before becoming disabled by them in 1999. I'm old and pretty beat up, but I'm still here. Even though I have my moments in the pit of the abyss when I want to give up, I revere the gift of life - every moment is made all the more precious because of the price I have paid and am still paying for it.
