Rachel, Find out if there are any family support group. May be one close to you. I started seeing a counselor, and she said that some autistic children need soy milk. It seems to help them come out of the fog. Its only been a week but casein and gluten free together helps the most. St. Ritas cant get jr in until Aug. so we are taking him to the next town over. Praying they do better than st. marys did! Its not cheap, but seems to be helping! :)
You are definatley not alone. Your not the only one goiing through it. Trust me. Many do, but very few talk about it...
Lots of love ur way, in my prayers :)
i know how hard this is!! when our son was diagnosed 10 yrs. ago i delved into any info i could find on autism. my husband tried to pretend it wasn't happening at all. but over time we mourned the son we lost and embraced the new crazy son we have! it may not get a whole lot easier but over time you learn new ways to cope. and ALWAYS try to keep your sense of humor or you might go crazy!!
