You can be saved;

I was born in Brooklyn in a time when you did'nt have to lock your door, while you sat on the stoop. I was a restless kid, allways thinking (is that all there is)? My last year in high school I decided to join the Navy. I did two tours of Nam. I came home hooked on heroin. I shoot dope for over the next forty years. In and out of V.A hospitals. During one of my visits they said I had PTSD. Four years ago the VA gave me Buprenophine. Along with my meetings I have found a new way to live. I am greatful every day. There was a time when I thought I would die in my addiction. I have a new relationship with God that is fantastic. If you are suffering from any disorder, don't give up. God loves you

Thank you for sharing this. My boyfriend is in recovery from heroin, it sure is the devil. Your writing has just reminded me that there is hope and God is with the both of us during these times.

Hi Faith Sounds like your boyfriend is a lucky man. There is help out here for both of you. I did not realize how much my addiction hurt my loveed ones. Through NA I am growing and becoming the best Me. It may sound a little odd to some, but I believe the CREATOR meant for me to BE all in order to be ME. and you are right, there is hope, and yes God can. I pray for you both.

In the name of Christ
