My husband lies, cheats, and drinks.

Why is this happening? I have a house, 2 kids, and my job pays all the bills. I always thought that if you didn't have the means to leave then you would stay in a bad relationship but that is not the case with me. I guess for the past few years I thought he would change but the change only last for a few months then it's back to the same stuff. I have become such a intravert and am so ashamed that I have tolerated such behavior. I have cut myself off and don't have close friends because I have been afraid the he would embarrase me.Which he has in the past. I struggle everyday because I don't trust him.
It hurts so much that someone you love lies to you. He always turns it around making me think I imagined it. I know what I need to do because I want to be happy again. It's been so long since I smiled.

How can I get him out of the house? He dissapers a day at a time but then retuns. I have changed the locks but he broke the window. Any advice would be helpful.

Hi sanantonioneedsadvice, It is hard watching a loved one active in their addition. They destroy themselves and hurt everyone around them. Have you been to Alanon http://www.al-anon.alateen.org/ ? Alanon is for loved ones of alcoholics. There you will find support from others who have been where you are at. As for getting him out of the house, maybe talk to a lawyer? Keep us posted on how you are doing. We are here for you. ((((hugs))))
