I'm a failure

I have tried two different community colleges over the past two years and still have yet to pass a class. They aren't hard classes, they're so incredibly easy and I could pass them but I have no motivation. I skip all the time and am so disappointed in myself. Every night I tell myself you will go to class tomorrow and do well and then I can't bring myself to get out of bed. I can't bring myself to do anything. I sit in my room all day not wanting to talk to anyone and crying. I hate myself for wasting my parents money after all they sacrificed for me. I know that I am just being lazy and taking everything I have offered to me for grantit. I am a complete failure and will never get anywhere because I'm not as good as everyone else.

Take it easy on yourself. You may suffer from clinical depression, meaning there may be a medical treatment out there that could help you. You also don't sound like you enjoy school, wouldn't you be much happier if you just stopped even trying to go? What's the facade for at this point? Not everyone's cut out for school anyway.

I agree that you may be suffering from clinical depression. That can have a tremendous effect on things. It may help to take some time off from school and go through some counseling and then go back when you feel you are ready.

I agree with Ross, take a deep breath. I also go to a community college and didnt not do too hot my first semester. it is all about focusing. don't skip, you'll never pass by skipping. Friends, facebook, plans, go last if you want to succeed in school. You need to put all your energy into your studies. It is not so bad, you figure you get winter break, spring break, and then summer break. You are really only busting you buns for 3 months at a time. Three months passes you in a blink of an eye.

I highly suggest you at least get your associates before you deciede to give up. you need to feel optomistic, and give yourself that drive, that extra push. There are plenty of people who feel just like you. There are tutors, and helpful places all around your school to help you earn an A.

The only person that can really help you is YOURSELF. you need to believe in yourself in order to succeed. School, espeically college is not easy; it takes alot of patience, focus, and motivation.

Getting up is a pain in the ass, but once you are there classes arent so bad. In fact, you make friends, get into interesting discussions, and acutally learn. In high school i was never focused, but now in college i want to learn.

i believe you can do it!
