I really hate this disorder
I am having a really rough time today. I woke up this morning around 4 am with stomach problems. I have been dealing with bloating type discomfort for a few days, but the anxiety about feeling ill starts the panic ball rolling. I am having problems going to the shop. I ask my family to come and 'babysit' me, but, of course, no one wants to do that.
I am seeing my doctor finally on the 15th, ao I hope I can get him to give me a script for zoloft, which seems to at least keep the anxiety and panic down to a managable level.
I dislike having to take the meds, even my blood pressure and diabetes stuff, but I guess this is something that I am just going to have to accept. Any relief is better than feeling so paralyzed by this!
I dont want to scare you but you may have Colitis or Chrones it is good you are being checked out by a doctor.
Hi lorblue, I dislike having anxiety also. It is horrible. I am glad to read you are going to see your doctor. Keep us posted on how you are doing and what you find out from your doctor. We are here for you. I will say a prayer. ((((hugs))))
Crohn's and Colitis are pretty serious suggestions when we know that upset stomach, nasuea and vomiting are all physical symptoms of GAD. I am not sure why anyone, without significantly more information than what is provided above and medical credentials, would post such a comment; especially when it is clear that those of us posting to this group have enough anxiety of our own. I have been very open and honest with my doctor and have confidence in her ability to work with me; I encourage others to do the same.
Did you read how i said you may have?Only a suggestion dont be so sensitive and anyway if you have such faith in your doctor why are you asking for advice on a support group lets just hope you dont have anything serious but with that type of attitude you wont heal i will not waste my time trying to help you here.good luck.
Thank you to all who commented. Today was a bit better. Will try to explain later.
Hey Lorblue hows things?Have been wondering how you are .Hope things are better for you if not keep us posted we may be able to talk some more an be a little help to you take care ok...

I too, hate this disorder; hate the control that it keeps over our lives.
I have suffered with stomach issues for over a year now, often waking in the night as well. Meds help in some ways and not in others - quite frankly, I can't help but be anxious about the meds too!
May the 15th roll around a bit quicker, knowing the waiting is hard.
