childhood abuse

i started being abused by my mother when i was brought home after being born. it kept going on until i was 13 and i was placed into foster care. within a few months i was returned to her and the abuse continued until i was 17 and placed into foster care again until i aged out. my mother was charged with physical/emothional/verbal abuse as well as educational/medical/general neglect. after years of the abuse, my sister and i finally got the athorities to see what was going on. my mother had a good way of hiding things and making it look like we were just ungreatful children who got mad at her. but that was not the case at all. she even went into saying the marks on us and the injuries were done by us. it took alot of time and other community support to get me out of there after many suicide attempts. i had to work since i was 14 to financially and physically take care of my younger brother and nephew. leaving them was the hardest part. i am now 21 and going through with an adult adoption with the last foster family that took me in and now has become my family.
